Privacy Policy

Introduction

This site publishes saffron buying guidance and earns a commission on qualifying retail links. It does not run a checkout, so it never sees your card, your shipping address, or your order history. This page sets out the small amount of data that does pass through.

Information We Collect

Two kinds of data reach us, and both are ordinary for a content site.

• Automatic technical data. Your browser sends an IP address, browser type, device class, referring page, and the pages you open. Analytics aggregates this into visitor counts and reading patterns.
• Data you type in. The contact form and the newsletter field accept a name, an email address, and a message. Neither form is wired to a backend on this site, so those fields are not transmitted or stored anywhere by us.

We collect no payment data, no health data, and nothing about what you eventually buy at a retailer.

Cookies

Cookies here do two jobs. A first-party preference cookie remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice, so the bar stops reappearing on every page. Analytics cookies count visits and record which guides get read to the end.

Decline the notice, or block cookies in your browser settings, and the pages still work. You lose only the memory of that choice between visits.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure traffic. It reports in aggregate: how many people arrived, which pages held attention, which search terms brought them. Google processes that data under its own privacy terms, and you can opt out with the browser add-on Google publishes for that purpose.

Affiliate Links and Third Parties

Product links carry an affiliate tag. Clicking one hands you to the retailer, which sets its own cookies to attribute the visit. From that moment the retailer's privacy policy governs, not this one, and we receive no personal detail about you or your basket.

This site participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. We see commission totals, never identities.

Data Sharing

We sell nothing and rent nothing. Aggregated technical data reaches only the analytics and hosting providers that make the site run. We disclose data beyond that only when a lawful order requires it.

Security

Pages are served over HTTPS, and the host applies standard patching and access controls. No site can promise perfect security, so treat anything you send over the internet with that in mind. Since we operate no database of readers, a breach here would expose no customer records.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what data is held about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Because we hold no account records, most such requests resolve in a sentence: nothing is stored. Write to us anyway and we will confirm it in writing.

Children's Privacy

This site addresses adults buying cooking spices. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information here, contact us and we will remove whatever exists.

Changes to This Policy

Revisions get posted on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes to how data is handled will be summarised here rather than buried in a paragraph.
